Question

Hi,

I wear soft contacts and the right eye starts to get irritated after about 6-7 hours of wear,  I do not have this issue with the left and the lenses are not damaged.

What else could cause this?

Thanks

Thanks for your Question

Small participates or debris on contact lens and dry eyes can cause irritation with contact lens. Try to clean, rinse and disinfect your contact lens with new contact lens solution. Change the contact lens case.

While you are wearing contact lens, you can use wetting eye drops or lubricant eye drops for contact lenses such as systane for contacts.

In case there is no improvement, you should buy a new contact lens and if you feel no improvement with these measurements then i think you should visit your optometrist.

If you have red eye, blurry vision or eye discharge, you should take off your contact lenses and go to your eye doctor as soon as possible.
